New Water Line

We needed to run a new water line into the mechanical room to feed the entire house. The connection to the street main and a new water meter have been completed by a contractor that I hired. Here is the new meter box and water line from the sidewalk. You can see it going into the sleeve in the background which takes it through the concrete wall and down towards the lower level of the house.
Of course I decided I did not want to cross the sewer line with the water line when it enters the house, so I had to roto-hammer a new hole through the foundation wall ;-( Not too bad really. You can see the black rectangle at the left, where I placed a 4" sleeve in the foundation for the water line originally. The green box sits on top of the sewer line, which runs from the far end of the house past the camera to connect with the city service. The new 1" water line at the right is going through the "new hole" and runs along the tall foundation wall over to the mechanical room.

Underground Plumbing

So here are a couple of shots of the underground plumbing that needed to go in prior to preparing for the slab pour. Nothing too exciting looking but this is all the drain lines for the Master Bathroom and Mechanical Room. Important stuff! :-)

Prepping for Concrete Slabs

Inside the House - Trenches are dug for the the thickened slab (where bearing walls will go above) and 5/8"- gravel is in place to level things out
Rear covered Patio - leveled with the 5/8"- gravel, preparing it for compacting prior to the concrete pour
